Head of Design
Salary up to AED 30,000

Our client is a locally founded established business, who is looking to recruit for a Head of Design to join their Dubai offices.
Main purpose of this position is Leads the development and management of the design studio an amazing design team that is able to mold itself to deliver the design requirements of the entire company delivering amazing products as well as the holistic visual journey and experience beyond the web/app-store.

Responsibilities:
Define and refine the process for designing new products;
Collaborate with the In-house Agency to maintain and refine our brand and identity outside of the product across marketing, advertising and partners/ advertisers;
Coach, mentor, and scale a world-class team of designers, visualizers and experience experts and establish an efficient workflow to meet demands;
Accountable for design roadmaps, and delivering briefs on time and to a high quality, receiving briefs from Product and Marketing disciplines;
Push and hero mobile interfaces across the major OS;
Create compelling interaction design: its not just about how it looks, its about how it acts, moves, and feels and develop the resources across research, copy etc. to be able to facilitate the vision;
Research, test, and analyze user data to inform and guide design decisions;
Accountable for quality and design of product and communications across all consumer facing output of the company - including web and mobile products, as well as collaborating with Head of Agency to ensure a consistent vision and standard beyond product and into the substantial marketing output
Responsible collaboratively with Head of Agency and Director of Product for design budgets and resource across;
Lead Design Thought Leadership, bringing design education company-wide and aiming to position the organisation as a leader in the space.

Requirements

Criteria:
Demonstrated design leadership (8+ years experience)
Proven track record of successful team building and management
Impressive history of shipping successful consumer products
A strong portfolio that highlights visionary design thinking
Must provide portfolio of produced work
Leads assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendations or decisions
Recognizes and acts on inconsistencies, resolving issues and taking on board excavations across the company
Identifies issues beyond regular situation
