Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A progressive locally owned group company is now recruiting for a Head of Electronics Division.

Main Responsibilities:

Buying

• To manage and lead buying to continuously improve the customer offer, range, price & promotions to exceed sales and hit margin targets.
• Contribute to the category strategic plan and brief teams to reflect this in the buying plans.
• Managing and developing supply base and sourcing new products.
• Create buying plans detailing range, price, suppliers and promotional activity.
• Manage locally the delivery of agreed objectives for ROI based on trading terms with International suppliers.
• Agree exit plans for discontinued lines.
• Negotiate with existing suppliers to optimise performance and improve terms to reduce prices for customers.
• Create and execute promotions to deliver the trade plan.
• Responsible for the delivery of margin & sales targets in ROI.
• Visit stores and challenge the team to listen to feedback on how to make things simpler and better for stores and customers.
• Use competitor insight to improve the customer offer and shape category plan.
• Review effectiveness of product exit plans and challenge for improvements.

Planning and Leadership

• Work with the management to ensure adequate planning for the divisions future.
• Provide leadership for the division through good communications, good business relationships, and good public relations.

Financial

• Provide monthly financial reports to the Head Office with key findings.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial projections for the business.

Operations

• Efficiently and effectively organize the divisions operations to ensure profitability.
• Identify and address operational problems in a timely fashion.
• Plan for the ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities, and equipment.

Human Resources

• Implement personnel policies and procedures that support the values of the business.
• Ensure adequate staffing, training, evaluation, safety, and personnel systems.
• Monitor personnel key indicators and plan for improvement as needed.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following skills and attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree with 10-15 years of experience preferably in the Electronics/OEM Industry.
• UAE driving license required.
• Experience in Financial Planning ,budgeting and Strategy.
• Leader who knows how to build a committed team of employees.
• Business planning, development , management and budgeting experience.
• Customer development and relationship management experience.
• Computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
