Head of Estimation

Job description / Role

A Hands on Head of Estimation is required for a Civil Engineering Contractor based in Kuwait . Responsible for stream lining the department and increasing the ratio of tender to awards. You will be able to implement new systems and procedures within work winning. You will be directly responsible for 3 Number Managing Estimators each with a team consisting of 8-15 Staff. Reporting directly into the General Manager you will be happy managing this level of staff and be confident taking control of any nationalities within the department.

At present the business is turning over in the region of $ 32 Million and they expect to this this double in the next 3-4 Years with the Contractor regaining its market share in Kuwait as well as developing key clients in UAE, KSA, Oman & Qatar. Its an exciting time for the business moving forward.

Its instrumental that you can lead, develop and drive his department forward. They dont want someone to purely manage a $25 Million Bid but someone that can drive the team and step in and out of the process when required

Requirements

They want someone that has a strong civil engineering background that can relate a program, bid, technical assessment and present to a client and delivery team.

The specific areas of Civil Engineering that the Contractor has thrived in over the past 10 Years are:

- Oil & Gas / Petrochemical
- Roads, Highways, Bridges & Infrastructure
- Airport Works

The employer is open to nationality as long as the individual is bringing with them a track record in this field with Leading Contractors.

They wont look at someone that has moved career every 2-3 Years as its against the corporate structure & ethos. This is a critical & long term appointment for someone to thrive over the next 10 -15 Years in the Business.
