An emerging Retail and F&B business backed by an international investment group is looking for an entrepreneurial manager to head their Food & Beverage division. The business is seeking to develop and grow several new locations and franchise concepts in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The concepts range from quick service to casual dining, with a particular focus on shopping mall locations. The franchise partners range from large established names to successfully growing concepts with a unique appeal or serving a clear market gap.

The Head of F&B role involves the complete financial and operational management of the Food & Beverage division of the business. The successful candidate for this role would be required to plan and execute the growth strategy of the business in line with industry best practices. In doing so, the successful candidate will manage all franchise and supplier relationships, recruit and train operational team for each concept, seek out new locations, deliver performance in line with the business plan, and report to the Board of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present annual budget and business plan for the division
- Assume full profit & loss responsibility of the business
- Recruit and train operational staff in line with budget
- Identify and set up new store locations as per business plan
- Liaise with franchise partners as well as suppliers
- Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies and procedures
- Manage all day-to-day operations within budget and to the highest standards
- Monitor performance of the business and report to the Board regularly
- Comply with the requirements and expectations of the franchise partners and brands
- Preserve excellent levels of customer service
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- 7+ years of food and beverage management experience
- Experience in managing multiple F&B locations
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Customer oriented and service minded
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Have strong leadership, management and coaching skills to develop others
- Dynamic, entrepreneurial, with ambitions to develop and grow a business
- Effectively plan workload & prioritize tasks and achieve deadlines
- Clear communicator & negotiator with the ability to influence and work well with a variety of people
- Commercial aptitude and trend awareness
- Comfortable with product and margin analysis and projections
- Professional integrity and development

Requirements

- 7+ years of food and beverage management experience
- Experience in managing multiple F&B locations
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Customer oriented and service minded
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Have strong leadership, management and coaching skills to develop others
