Head of Finance - Hospitality

Job description / Role

Reporting to the CEO, this is a strategic role providing leadership in fund management, investments, cost control, asset management, corporate banking, treasury and financial management

Responsibilities:
Lead the financial growth strategies and plans for business expansion in the UAE and GCC
Management of financial performance in each business unit
Overall responsibility for the MIS and financial reporting
Preparing and managing budgets and financial plans
Ensuring budgetary control and managing business unit financial performance and variances
Management of working capital
Business planning
Developing and implementing continuous improvement processes for financial performance including working capital management, cost reduction and restructuring exercises
Developing and implementing finance related policies to manage cost
Financial management reporting and analysis in line with international accounting regulations, IFRS and head office company requirements
Overseeing the year end statutory management accounts and financial statements
Management of the Finance, Audit and Credit Control teams
Relationship management with external auditors, insurance companies and banks

Requirements

Skills & Experience:
10 15 years experience as a senior Finance Manager, GM Finance or CFO in a hospitality related organisation in the GCC, Middle East or Levant region with responsibility for ensuring revenue growth and profitability of the organization
Strong leadership and management skills
Development and successful implementation of internal control procedures and audit systems, financial policies, management reporting systems.
Strong commercial acumen with an ability to manage the Finance & Accounts Department in a business partnering relationship
Working knowledge of SAP
Review of contracts and legal documents
Review of procurement agreements
Must have experience of working in organisations with more than 500+ employees

Education:
ACA / CA Chartered Accountancy qualification is mandatory

Candidate Profile:
Aged between 35 45 year
Fluency in English is essential
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work at Board level
Must have a UAE/GCC driving license
Indian or Sri Lankan nationality only please
