Employment: Full Time

The Company
My client is Fortune 500 business in the transport/logistics sector. Due to a regional reorganisation they have created a new role for a seasoned FC to concentrate on the UAE operation, reporting through to the Regional FD.

The Role
1. Act as advisor to the Regional Finance Director on strategic, financial and business issues leading to accurate financial Region and country results
2. Support regional stakeholders in the development and compliance of their strategies, budget and forecast and relevant business issues
3. Advise and support regional (Capex) investments and acquisitions
4. Analyze, review and advise senior management on Financial regional and country results.

Strategy
• Advise to achieve Financial budgets improvements to meet and exceed the requirements of the Region
• Be trustworthy advisor to the Regional Finance Director in regional and key projects and assist regional Finance Management in the development and execution of their regional strategy
• Regional responsible for the ongoing integrity of financial Operations
• Participate in regional and divisional reviews

Compliance
• Assure compliance of the region to divisional chart of accounts and reporting guidelines like allocation method, and assure full alignment between financial systems (SAP) and reporting package as send to DHO (Outlooksoft) for the region and underlying countries.
• Assist the regional management in developing and roll out strategy within the framework of the Divisional Express Objectives
• Liaise with DHO on analysis of business performance, Capex, Merger and Acquisition and generic Finance related topics
• Deliver on the internal and external requirements to achieve regional effectiveness of procedures for financial reporting.
• Drive a regionally controlled financial environment consistent with corporate and local statutory requirements
• Drive regional Finance plans that comply with business policies and standards
• Comply with outcome of internal and external audits

Reporting
• Drive and participate in regional and divisional reviews on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business performances
• Provide feedback and recommendations to regionally located controllers and DHO

Requirements

Key skills

10 years of experience
Minimum of 3-4 years field experience in a local country/business unit
Strong Financial skills and experience
Experience also in other areas than Finance & Administration (General Management, Sales, Commercial or Operations) would be a benefit
Good cross functional knowledge
International business experience
Fluent English language skills (other languages a benefit)
Salary
AED 35000-40000
