Our client is a leading multinational legal firm, currently seeking a Head of Finance MENA with overall responsibility for the financial operations of the Middle East region.

Providing high quality and relevant financial support and business advice to the partners and developing a Regional Finance team would be the key objectives of this role.

Key roles and responsibilities:

The Head of Finance will report directly to Regional Managing Partner. The objective of this role is to ensure that high quality, accurate financial data is provided to both internal and external clients on a timely basis. The candidate will also be involved in setting up and then continually striving to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance team. The role will also ensure smooth running of the office reporting systems and processes. The candidate has overall responsibility of the Middle East finance function and they will be required to perform a number of day to day tasks:
- Being the key financial advisor to the partner group in all aspects of financial management. Advising other support functions as necessary.
- Having a strong grasp on the financial operations of the office and be able to identify and address the day-to-day decisions related to finance.
- In charge of Cash management/cash forecast
- Managing the annual financial audit process, acting as the key point of contact for the external audit team;
- Driving the annual budget process; co-ordinating contributors from the various operational and fee earning areas to ensure the timely preparation of a high quality office budget; Prepare other plans and forecasts as required to help drive the business forward and to make business decisions.
- Leading the Middle East finance team which comprises of Revenue control teams to Management accountants

Requirements

- Finance professional with a recognized accountancy qualification, with a minimum of 8+ years post qualified finance experience
- International experience in commercial legal or compliance environment
- Experience of running a team and of building and maintaining strong internal client relationships
- Legal industry and professional services experience is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Experience of working in a busy corporate environment, meeting tight deadlines, maintaining professional composure when dealing with difficult situations and succeeding in meeting demanding client expectations is highly advantageous for this role
- Appreciation for legal and business cultural norms in an international environment
- Must be adept at using the latest MS Office software packages
- Articulate and an effective communicator
