Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our Client a luxury fashion retail group is looking for an Arabic speaking Head of HR.

Objective would be:
To lead and manage the human resources activities of the Group.

Strategy and Planning

- Formulate the strategy, objectives and annual plans and budgets of the departments in line with the guidelines provided by the CEO in alignment with the Group’ business strategy, and taking into account business's specific needs
- Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures for the HR, that are consistent with best practices and the Group’s objectives including ensuring compliance with UAE labour law
- Lead the development of annual HR strategic processes and plans (such as workforce planning including budget and recruitment requirements, and succession planning), oversee their effective implementation and resolve any issues as appropriate.

Human Resources

- Oversee the activities of the Human Resource Manager in understanding the Group’s human resource requirements and ensuring full compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure that human resources plans, policies and procedures are appropriately communicated, implemented and adhered to by company and monitored and reviewed on a periodic basis, to ensure alignment to the Group’s objectives and consistency of approach across the Group
- Foster, support, and instil a culture focused on continuous improvement and positive change orientation through the design and delivery of change programs and activities including coaching and mentoring, communication, workshops and trainings
- Ensure that all matters related to employee relations are fully compliant with UAE labour laws
- Ensure the effective functioning of all HR systems and the availability of management reports to support HR decision making

Requirements

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or equivalent

Relevant Experience
- 12 – 15 years of relevant experience in support services management covering Administration and Human Resources of which at least 5 years in a similar role preferably in the retail sector
