The Role


The Role


The Head of I.T Architecture will consult with key IT and business stakeholders to identify and define the technical architecture required to maintain high performance of existing systems, including advising on changes to existing systems. The Architect will also ensure that new technologies will be selected and introduced in a disciplined and professional manner to maximise business effectiveness and minimise disruption to existing systems.

The Requirements

Minimum of 10 years senior management experience in Applications development and maintenance environment, including, experience defining the scope for major applications initiatives across financial services, with particular emphasis on retail, commercial and wholesale banking. Of this, at least 7 years in a banking environment.
A strong understanding of Architecture management principles, particularly the scoping and implementation of new applications for relevant technology platforms.
Proven capacity to understand and work with banking Business requirements and processes.
Proven capacity to deliver improvements within a matrix style organisation.
Active participation in senior executive Committees as an IT technical specialist.
Demonstrate high levels of independence in terms of the selection of technology, applications and systems to ensure the selection of the optimum technology to support the define Business requirements.
