Head of IT Infrastructure

Job description / Role

Our client is a well established company headquarted in the UAE and they are looking to take somebody on to oversee their entire IT Infrastructure Operations.

This will include:
- To be responsible for the development of network Infrastructure services for ICT Services
- To be responsible for network infrastructure policies and procedures and agreed with the Head of ICT
- To provide strategic leadership and operational management for infrastructure services, to ensure that ICT services to its clients, are delivered to agreed standards
- To actively participate in the ICT Senior Management Team
- To lead the development of key performance indicators and performance management reports for network services in partnership with clients, to assess and monitor the quality of the services provided
- To manage, develop and train staff within the Infrastructure team, ensuring that they are motivated and equipped to deliver a high quality service to agreed standards
- To ensure that the network adheres to relevant standards including those set out by law, by the Information Commissioner and other regulatory and statutory bodies
- To be responsible for budget management for the network infrastructure service
- To lead on the development of the network, including procurement, future-proofing and options development and appraisal
- To lead the implementation of all ICT security policies ensuring compliance with Information governance, legal, regulatory and mandatory requirements, including those for data protection confidentiality and security.
- To plan, design and install new network solutions, coordinating project groups, consultants and suppliers so that the solutions meets identified requirements, budgets and timescales.
- To maintain a professional approach at all times, and to represent the ICT service to a professional level
- To work at a variety of sites as required delivering the role
- To lead on disaster recovery and business continuity plans and procedures
- To be a key lead within the ICT on call arrangement
- Any other tasks as defined by the Head of ICT.
- To assist in the development of a network strategy and associate policies and plans
- To be responsible for an integrated data and voice service that supports the changing and developing needs of clients
- To ensure the provision and maintenance of operational IT & Voice services secure, reliable and value for money

Requirements

- University degree in the field of computer science or business administration.
- Experience administering server and storage technologies
- Experience managing enterprise applications
- Experience administering System management tools
- Experience of managing technical staff in server and storage disciplines.
- Previous experience of managing third-party service providers across all technologies.
- Knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
- 7-10 years of experience
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- MSP practitioner
