The RoleThe RoleHead of IT Strategy & Governance – Islamic Banking This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most innovative and forward-thinking banks in the GCC. As the Head of IT Strategy and Governance you will be awarded ‘vice-president (vp)’ designation and will take on a Senior position in the management of this award-winning Islamic Bank. You will report directly into the SVP / Head of Information Technology and will be responsible for the overall Governance and development of IT Strategy for the bank; ensuring successful delivery of an IT service that complements and enables the realisation of the bank’s business strategy. Key Job Responsibilities: •Create/review the IT strategy •Define/monitor IT performance measures •Identify and prepare IT internal and external reporting requirements •Identify and formalize IT processes , policies and procedures •Manage IT risks and maintain a risk registry •Create IT quality measures based on best practices and implement the agreed standards |
RequirementsRequirementsEssential Skill Requirements: •Bachelors of Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or similar •Extensive experience in Banking sector •Minimum 10 years in IT management •Experience of IT Governance frameworks and Risk Management strategies •Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture practices and principles •Familiar with project management methodologies •CoBiT, ITIL Due to this being for an Islamic Bank, preference will be given Arabic speaking and Muslim candidates. |
