The RoleThe RoleOur client, a leading bank is looking for a Head of IT to join their expanding team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will focus on planning and managing the activities related to IT as well as ensure the provision of efficient, cost effective and secure IT services to the bank. Responsibilities: • Evaluate and recommend the procurement/ supply of IT systems. • Oversee the management of all IT projects and ensure proper coordination with concerned business divisions. • Develop the overall strategy and business plan for the Information Technology division and monitor performance against plan. • Enhance the IT architecture to ensure optimum integration of different systems and meet business, risk, reporting & regulatory requirements. • Liaise with Risk Management to ensure efficiency of IT contingency/ business continuity plans and develop adequate back-up and recovery systems. |
RequirementsRequirements• Bachelor’s Degree. • Extensive experience in Infrastructure and Security within Banking / financial services in a similar capacity in the GCC. • Strong Technical and analytical skills in Linux, Oracle and Microsystems.
