Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A leading bank in the UAE is looking to bring on a Head of International Regulations & Sanctions to join their team in Abu Dhabi.

Key accountabilities of the role includes:
- Interpret and advise Head of Compliance and Senior Management on various sanction regulations such as UN, EU, UK and US Economic Sanctions / Export Controls
- Assess sanction risks proactively and provide mitigation strategies to ensure the bank remains compliant at all times
- To develop, implement, and monitor Sanction programs
- Develop sanction policies and review them on an annual basis
- Oversee and ensure that the sanction policy is adequately communicated and implemented in the bank.

Requirements

- Have a minimum of 10+yrs experience in a similar position within a law firm of financial institution in managing sanction and regulatory risks
