Job description / Role
This opportunity is with a large Luxury Retail Group with a strong presence across the Gulf with various businesses into retail.
In this position you would be responsible to create a culture of learning and development across the organization, design and implementation of the Learning & Development strategy and plans. You would also be responsible identify and build a team of departmental trainers, create and deliver in-house learning sessions. Remain abreast of regional and international trends in learning and development concepts and delivery methodology in order to identify those that can be recommended to the company.
You would be responsible to identify, formulate, and revise Learning and development policies and procedures to support the companys strategy for employee development, the achievement of short and long-term objectives and the effective operation of the learning and development function. Lead an effective assessment and validation process of the companys learning requirements to ensure that proposals for optimal cost-effective programs are in place.
Coordinate with the Division Managers / Department Heads the planning for specific tailor-made courses to enhance the performance employees and maintain an effective line of communication and understanding with the other departments and divisions.
Requirements
To be successful you would ideally posses at least 7+ years of experience managing the Learning & Development function in an organization. Ideally should have worked in an organization where the training function was an integral part of the company culture. Mentoring and coaching experience would be an advantage.
Qualification in Training Management from a reputable organization like CIPD or SHRM.
ILM / Coaching certified / equivalent certification.
