Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Head of Lubricant (Diesel) will oversee all company functions, including Diesel operations, and will be responsible for general corporate leadership and planning.

Remuneration:- AED 25000 + benefits

Accountability:

- Accountable for the volume, gross margin, profit, cash cost, working capital and health & safety performance
- Accountable for the development of sales & marketing strategies and tactics across the specialties business to underpin and deliver targeted top and bottom line performance, and to materially fast track growth of sales and penetration of customer segments aligned to strategic focus
- Accountable for the development of sales and marketing strategies in the markets that deliver and secure ongoing competitive advantage over the longer term, that are aligned to the broader company initiatives, and that help meet shorter term customer needs which serve to underpin ongoing business performance
- Accountable for the application of resources (people, expense budgets, capital budgets)to maximize profits and match profit streams to strategic imperatives through direct control or appropriate delegation of such control to direct reports
- Accountable for developing the capabilities of team members and distributors to deliver differentiated customer offers based on clear value selling propositions and customer relationship management
- Accountable for the development and operations along the value chain in conjunction with Operations to maximize returns and build and maintain a key source of competitive advantage
- Responsible for ensuring transfer of best practice – internal and external – driving strategy implementation underpinning the development of the business, strengthening channels of trade and creating a superior and differentiated offer for distributors and customers alike
- Develop, coach and motivate direct reports in successful delivery of business and functional objectives, and in their individual development.
- Interact and work closely with all key functional managers including Supply Chain, Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, Legal & Administration
- To ensure that areas of under-performance are quickly addressed and rectified
- Support staff in developing excellent relationships with key third parties – distributors, customers and suppliers
- Leading change – to provide a sense of purpose and ensure that the business is positioned for continuous improvement
- Lead, manage and coach various teams/team members to strive for operational excellence and business success.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Oversee all supply chain functions, including Logistics and Fleet Operations.
• Oversee all transportation departmental functions, including Fleet Maintenance, Terminal Operations, and Security.
• Supervise the Sales & Marketing Department.
• Oversee all Environmental, Health, & Safety functions.
• Prepare and justify the fiscal budget for company operations.
• Develop and implement programs and initiatives to reduce operating costs, increase operating efficiencies and improve profitability.
• Coordinate daily company operations and business planning for all departments.
• Develop and implement a reporting process to communicate business results to the Management Team and the Board of Directors.
• Interface with regulatory agencies, business entities, and public as needed on behalf of the company

The role is 90% operational, meaning in the field at customers and developing new business in support of the team.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Engineering Degree
• 5+ years experience of Head / Manager experience.
• 5+ years experience specially with in Diesel
• Refinery or Lubricant Recycling experience is desirable.
