Job description / Role
Charterhouse is currently working on an exclusive mandate to source a Head of Management Accounting for one of our leading Qatari banking clients. With a reporting line to the Group Financial Controller this role will take ownership of a small team of Budget Accountants within their day to day operational function. You will cover a broad range of functions relating to Qatar Central Bank (QCB) reporting; whereby all reports and limits are reported, assessed and controlled in accordance with the required QCB limits, compliance and external audit requirements.
This role will involve an MIS based reporting function to undertake extensive analysis and performance reviews across all profit and cost centres. Functionally this role will take ownership of the budgeting and control process to ensure that all budget preparations are aligned and developed in accordance with the corporate strategic objectives, whilst also developing strong expenditure control principles and policies.
Requirements
Our client envisages hiring a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA), who can demonstrate a strong understanding of banking platforms and services, whilst also being in a position to develop and implement robust MIS and controls across the financial management and operational finance functions. This role will also demand a project management skill set to introduce areas of change management.
