Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for preparation of the overall budget for Hemaya and the internal management accounting reporting, analysis and planning of business unit results to ensure support for external reporting and accuracy of business unit internal financial control.
Develop and communicate Management Accounting policies and procedures.
Lead work efforts of the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to improve the efficiency and availability of quality planning information to support decision making procedure for Hemaya.
Schedule the annual budgetary planning cycle and supervise the distribution of all budget materials, forms and templates and necessary guidelines.
Consolidate and interpret financial data from various profit and cost centers to ensure that accurate and timely business information is presented to management to assist them in decision making.
Produce an operating profit and loss account and balance sheet to produce accurate and timely financial information, which meets regulatory and business requirements.
Monitor expenditure against budgets and advise management of any significant variances.
Coordinate with other sections in Finance to review availability of funds against budget requests and revisions to ensure effective budget control.
Ensure timely consolidation of the budget for review and approval by Hemayas management and the Board.
Oversee end of year financial reporting and ensure timely submission of end of year financial results to comply with legal and business requirements.
Prepare the annual budget for the company and ensure that individual profit and cost centers have all necessary information for effective budget management.
Give any necessary advice on financial analysis, management accounting and reporting issues to ensure that management and staff understand financial and budgetary requirements.
Maintain day-to-day control of all accounting systems to ensure the complete and accurate processing of financial data in accordance with internal procedures.
Supervise the preparation of all distributed financial reports.
Supervise the development of operating and financial objectives to ensure consistency with the company strategy and within budget.
Oversee and evaluate activities to ensure that pro-active and reactive steps are taken to avoid and limit revenue leakage and chance of fraud.
Diagnose existing planning, budgeting, and forecasting models in order to allocate an annual budget in coordination with all divisions.
Manage risks, project planning and budgeting, define deliverable content and ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client.
Oversee the financial reporting activities to ensure that various reporting deadlines are met.
Prepare periodic reports presenting the performance of financial activities (internal management reports such as forecasting).
Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommend necessary actions as per the applied practices.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting/Finance
Accounting Certification (CPA, CFA, ACCA) is preferred

Experience:
Ten years of relevant work experience in Management Accounting

KPA's:
Compliance with financial policies and local reporting regulations
Accuracy and timeliness of preparation and submission of annual budget
Accuracy of costing reports
Accuracy of budget tracking
Percentage variance between actual and budgeted financial expenditure

Skills:
Knowledge of financial policies and local reporting regulations
Financial Analysis and Data Presentation
Problem Solving Skills
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Computer literacy: MS windows applications (word processing, excel, spreadsheets)
Fluent in English, Arabic is preferred
