Job description / Role
Our client, an international information technology services company, serving a global client base is looking to hire Head of Operations for their Dubai office.
Responsibilities include:
Formulating and developing IT Operations strategy and plans that support whole of agency operations and align with corporate and IT Directorate objectives
Leading and managing a number of customer facing IT service delivery functions to a diverse range of customers, including IT Service Desk, technical support services, asset management and information management
Leading the transition of completed projects as they move from development to ongoing delivery
Actively contribute to the collective outcomes of the IT Management Team
Delivery of the IT programs and project outcomes, focusing on: Implementing new approaches to infrastructure and communication services
Service delivery improvements to meet changing business needs
Requirements
Minimum 10 years commercial experience as an ICT Operations manager or Senior ICT services manager with proven track record in IT Architecture.
ITIL Certified and significant commercial experience in a leadership role within an ITIL environment.
Solid industry experience in change management and managing internal IT client relationship and daily support demands.
Strong track record of managing and leading ICT operational teams and across multiple ICT functions including Desktop Support and Service Desk teams and associated niche technology functions.
Solid strategic and operational planning, policy development, employee management and optimization, budgeting and financial management.
Understanding of business benefit realization to be gained from the strategic use of technology in a large and complex working environment.
Competence in the systems, technologies and processes necessary to deliver effective IT services.
Enjoys interacting with technical and non-technical across all areas of a business and ability to influence.
Knowledge of other operations oriented frameworks in addition to ITIL
Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters degree in IT or Business Administration from a Western university.
Must possess PMP certification or have significant project management experience.
Must have done significant datacenter transformation projects
Excellent technical experience in cloud
Ideally should have come from a Solution Architecture background.
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent verbal & written communication.
