Within this career enhancing role, you will oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods including:
* Food
* Clothing
* Healthcare products
* Manufacturing parts
Manage people, processes and systems and make sure productivity targets are met. Maintenance of warehouse and labour-management systems such as operating automated storage and retrieval systems.
To be responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock. To deal with personnel issues such as the recruitment, training and discipline of staff.
To implement specialist warehousing infrastructures such as the storage of temperature-controlled products, such as food and pharmaceuticals, and the storage of hazardous materials.
Requirements
* A degree in any business science field.
* 10 years of working experience in the UAE is A MUST.
* 5 years in management level within the logistics field including warehousing and supply chain services.
Competencies required for the position
* Knowledge of air cargo and shipping industries will be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Freight Forwarding operations will be required.
* Experience in supply chain strategic planning and execution.
* Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
* Knowledge of structuring supply chain functions and cost expectations.
* Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to lead and facilitate high performing group meetings.
