Head of Planning - Metro Project Doha - European Employer

International JV Based in Central Doha - Qatar is working on a Major Project worth in excess of 1.7 Billion EURO.The project has a 5 Year program to build a major Metro / Rail line in Doha. This JV is made up of European & Arabic Contractors, so far they have pulled in some real specialists into the JV and awaiting to appoint this senior post within the JV Management Team.

The project is made up of over & underground work across Doha. They want to appoint a Planning Manager that has experience on either a major project of similar value or someone that been a company planning / project controls manager thats been responsible for multiple projects across the region. There is a team of Planners, Engineers & Analysts in excess of 50 that you will be responsible for. You will be reporting directly into the Project Director & Head of Contracts for the project.

You will be capable of managing a team, communicating with & chairing meeting for the:
- Consultant
- Designer
- Sub Contractors

Requirements

The software for the project is Primavera 6 so you will be fully competent & experienced with this software.

You will have history of being able to relate a program to actual works and able to see potential risk, contractual disputes and delays relating to the program.

The employer wants to talk with someone that has 20+ years in this specific field having managed a major project or multiple.

ESSENTIAL FOR THE JOB:
- Main Contracting Experience
- 2-3 Major Projects under the belt as Number 1
- Fully experience with Primavera / P6
- Must be highly presentable and have strong communication skills
- Educated to Degree Level & Professional
- Memberships (Relevant)
