Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Managing all pre and post construction planning and cost reporting activities across all KSA business units. Client and consultant interface / presentation of reports advising on risk and opportunity pertaining to major projects carried out in the following sectors:

- Transportation and Infrastructure
- Heavy Civils
- Buildings & Factories
- Power Transmission & Distribution
- Water & Renewable Energy
- Rail

Executive level reporting, generation of board level reports with graphics and visualization of trends and variances

Key Tasks:
- To co-ordinate and manage all aspects of the project controls process, pre and post contract.
- Head office based establishing the master programme, sub-contract liaison, short-term planning and process data recording and reporting.
- To prepare critical path programmes pertaining to pre and post contract construction activities.
- To provide an auditing function pertaining to a range of live projects as required.
- Interface and liaise with the Project Directors regarding planning and financial reporting.
- As part of the Bid Management team, responsible for the preparation of planning activities.

Requirements

- To have a proven track record in pre and post contract project controls gained with a reputable major building contractor / consultancy or project management company
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to recognise alternative building methods.
- Experience of client presentations and tender briefings.
- Up-to-date IT knowledge.
- To have a thorough understanding of buildability.
- Professional and methodical in their thinking with the ability to multi process.
- A lateral thinker able to offer alternative solutions and methods
- To have had previous experience of pre and post contract planning and financial reporting on major projects
- Previous experience gained in a planning / project controls capacity in the infrastructure / power / building sectors
- Development of relationships with clients and/or consultants at both pre-contract and during the bid process, ensuring that all planning activities meet the critical requirements i.e. cost, programme, quality etc.
- To liaise with external design teams pertaining to planning activities ensuring documents are produced to the agreed deadlines.
- To extrapolate relevant information with regards to the preparation of claims documentation.

- Responsible for all elements of the planning process throughout pre-construction, contract phase and post contract activities.
- To act as an integral part of the work winning team.
- To have a proven track record of managing project controls on major projects
- To have an in-depth understanding of the construction process.
- Previous Middle East experience
