Job description / Role
My client is looking to appoint a senior level Planning Manager from either management contracting environment of PMC/ Consultancy background to work as the lead Planning Manager on Muscat Airport programme.
Development of initial programmes during the tender/negotiation phases
After contract award, manage a team of planners (internally) as well as subcontractor’s planners to produce the Contractual & Construction Programmes
Maintaining & Updating all programmes through the life time of the project
Project monitoring & controls
Progress reporting internally & to Client
Change Control & Extension of Time Management
Regular presentations to the Engineer and the Client on programme/progress issues
Coordination with nominated and domestic subcontractors
Review the forensic analysis of potential claims for dispute resolution. Co-ordinate with the claims team in the internal mediation and review of claims etc.
Manage the entire Planning and programme control function for a key major airport development and the multiple contract packages contained within.
Expected package will be expected around 70,000 + per month AED.
Requirements
You should be a professional construction planner with 15-20 years experience in the planning and programme development of major projects.
You will be degree qualified in Construction/ civil or related subject and have 5 years experience in a lead planning role in the Middle East.
You should be fully conversant and expert in the use of planning software and be able to innovate in planning tools and technology to gain the best results.
