Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

On behalf of our client, a global operator group and one of their category A. operations, we are currently searching for a Head of Pricing (Mobile Telecoms B2C and B2B). This will be based in a family friendly location and is an expatriate assignment with excellent rewards and benefits. At this point in time the location is strictly confidential. The operation is a market leader, revenue is in excess of USD$700 million with very strong EBITDA and the market still has room for revenue growth. Competition is strong with fast moving aggressive competitors increasingly using low price offerings as competitive advantage.

The selected candidate will possess the following; Act as a vital and trusted advisor to the CCO, drive pricing and segmentation, creating strong analytical frameworks which will increase quality of commercial decision making and seek to create customer value and without eroding revenue. All pricing must be based on excellent insights and long term commercial reasoning rather than reacting to competitor moves. Segmentation will require deeper focus creating more segments based on different parameters, all of these additional segments must also be managed and monitored. Rising data revenues and declining voice revenues will require an effort to offset the reduction of voice. Innovative solutions for Enterprise customers are also an important part of selection

Requirements

- Operational experience from a challenger Mobile operator
- Excellent Pricing, Analytics and Segmentation experience from within a mobile operator
- Excellent Data and Voice pricing experience
- Both Consumer and Enterprise Pricing experience will be an advantage, the minimum required is excellent Consumer Pricing experience (B2B can be developed)
- Innovative and creative solutions and propositions within pricing which have made a real impact on the businesses top and bottom line
- International mobile telecoms experience (candidates who do not have emerging market experience cannot be considered)
- Evidence of disruptive Pricing initiatives within their respective market/s (candidates must be able to clearly articulate this)
- Excellent people management and integration with different cultures
- Stability of tenure
- Excellent references
- Candidates who have successfully operated in highly competitive markets (minimum of three to four players) will only be considered. Those from two player mobile markets cannot be considered for selection
