Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Head of Procurement - Doha, Qatar

Program Description:

Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cupâ„¢ football tournament and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of the country's transformation programme, including the development of required infrastructure and non competitive venues.

CH2M Hill is the programme management contractor (PMC) responsible for the management of competition precincts, training venues, associated common domain precincts, Operations, Post Games Works and the coordination of the integration works, acting on behalf of the client, The 'Supreme Council for Delivery and Legacy'.

To provide a complete commercial procurement function for all programme expenditure related to major projects. Responsible for the provision of professional expertise and at the forefront regarding the implementation and development of procurement strategies.

• Develop and manage the procurement department including setting targets and monitoring performance
• Develop and deliver a Procurement Strategy across the programme to deliver the target benefits
• Engage support and agreement for the strategy from key stakeholders so that implementation and compliance are optimal; promote the effective management of suppliers to sustain value throughout the life of the contract
• Establish new processes and systems for effective procurement across the programme; develop an eProcurement vision and identify solutions; investigate opportunities for category management
• Provide specialist advice, guidance and service on leading practice procurement to all departments; lead the society in identification, assessment and management of potential risks associate with differing sourcing strategies; provide insight through the analysis of spend, supply markets and savings;
• Define and manage key supplier relationships to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality, including technical input to negotiations

Requirements

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum of 20 years Procurement experience in increasingly responsible roles

• Excellent team building, leadership and communications skills

• Accreditation from an Internationally recognised Procurement body
