Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a large local group.

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Procurement, salary AED 45-50k.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of the procurement strategy across the group
• Lead the development & execution of procurement strategies that deliver a competitive advantage driving strategic supplier initiatives. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure procurement optimization and overall supplier performance
• Lead procurement execution for commodity(s) or suppliers, including full accountability for buy and meeting targeted savings
• Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance and develop improvement strategies to ensure business needs are met.
• Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure procured material and services meet the needs of the business.
• Drive improvements in the procurement processes including escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payables issues, and database management.
• Provide budgetary information/KPI’s to all business units to ensure understanding and client quotations accurately reflect operational costs
• Drive the reduction of the supply base and aggregate volume to gain leverage
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, business units and clients to sustain growth
• Solicit and evaluate proposals applying appropriate commercial review and negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques using available expertise from supporting organisations; implement purchase contracts following applicable company and government regulations.
• Coordinate with Finance department and management to ensure synergies throughout the procure to pay process
• Define procurement objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, review SOP’s in line with best working practices ensuring ISO Compliance for the department
• Plan, execute, and finalise procurement projects according to deadlines and within budget, acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and internal departments in order to deliver according to plan

Requirements

• Must be currently living in Dubai
• Experience gained in a large group or large multinational commercial business
• Oracle system experience
• Candidates from construction procurement will not be considered. This company is searching for candidates who have worked in other varied industries
