Managing and coordinating the Project Management department and scope of work, including prioritisation and feasibility
Developing new concepts, methods and techniques that are both sizeable and scalable to support commercial teams and ultimately contribute more revenue; also be responsible for implementing and testing these new methods
Applying best practice across all internal and external project management administration, processes and procedures
Develop and measure success metrics for custom solution projects
Managing key client relationships and their internal representatives across high value commercial projects
Support other ad-hoc tactical and strategic projects
Supporting pre-sales and production activities for agencies and clients
Develop project management key skills and learnings within the existing team
Manage external relations with suppliers including controllership and vendor selection processes
The Project Manager will lead a cross functional project team to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of high quality custom solution projects which meet and exceed advertiser or business requirements as well as defined quality metrics. They will be required to apply specialized knowledge of industry standards / practices to projects and initiatives as well as PM skills and techniques.
This role requires active partnering with various internal and external (e.g. Media Agencies) partners to identify and remove any barriers to the cross functional teams performance. Including regularly provides technical guidance to others in work area, networking with key contacts outside own area of expertise and persuasive communication with peers to gain cooperation for projects and initiatives within own function.
Minimum 5 years Project Management experience
Managed a team of individuals
Experience in managing multiple projects with competing priorities
Good, all-round knowledge of web design, advertising, and interactive production techniques
Experienced in project management methodologies and processes
Experienced in software product development and project / program management (Software Development Life Cycles and Quality Processes, Scope, Cost, Schedule, Deliverables, Change Management, Risk Management, etc.)
Good knowledge of the editorial process
Experience in facilitating meetings with cross-functional teams
Must have strong, clear communication skills
Passion for effective processes and methodologies that will improve the productivity of the organization
Exceptional organisational ability
Independent thinking and problem solving
Must work well under pressure
Proficient in English essential, (and Arabic desirable)
Knowledge/experience of product management and requirements specification
Experience in process definition
Experience of working with external clients
Knowledge of usability and accessibility standards
Qualifications and Educational Background
5+ years technology experience in a media/web/consulting/client-facing IT development/project management position
