Employment: Full Time

As part of their Saudization drive, our client is looking for a Saudi National to Head their PR function. They are a large conglomerate that has established a name for itself across multiple sectors in Saudi Arabia and headquartered in Jeddah.

Reporting to the MD of Marketing, the Head of PR assumes responsibility for day-to-day operational management of all activities and functions in the designated area within the Marketing department. This would include developing, implementing and evaluating policies, procedures and standards; creating operational manuals; developing and monitoring budgets; preparing and evaluating PR & communication strategies, providing technical advice and/or supervision to staff, other departments, the public and other agencies, and performs related work as required.

This position is responsible for identifying specific outcomes and performance results of all PR initiatives, including but not limited to the consistent delivery of high-quality media relations products, outreach to targeted press and specific goals for coverage in targeted media.

In addition, this position is responsible for internal company and press satisfaction with the quality of media relations products and activities as gauged by inquiries, response times and media interest. This position requires the introduction of new mechanisms and channels to increase exposure of organisation in the local, and regional media. Qualitative/quantitative analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of all PR in meeting established goals and objectives is also required.

Requirements

* 8 to 10 years of PR experience working in companies, organisations or agencies with a diverse stakeholder base.
* Prior media relations, budgeting and vendor management.
* Excellent communication, follow through and ability to effectively manage stakeholders.
* Must be creative and service-oriented. Great eye for detail, excellence and quality.
* Able to work flexible schedules.
* Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
* Additional qualifications include: ability to work effectively with cross-geographic organizations, ability to work effectively within a variety of management levels.
* Ability to multi-task and handle short deadlines.
* Strong decision making skills and ability to find best solution to meet diverse set of requirements.
* Ability to effectively work through outsourced vendors and project team to deliver complex initiatives in flawless fashion.
* Saudi Nationals only will be considered as this is part of a Saudisation drive.
