Job description / Role
QNB Group - the leading financial institution in the Middle East and North Africa - with a Net Profit of US$2.3 billion in 2012 is seeking a Head of Regional Credit Risk in our growing Group HQ in Doha.The role is responsible for managing the assessment and approval process of credit proposals in addition to the credit worthiness of counter parties that require credit limits to support the operational requirements of the FI, Treasury, Brokerage and Operations units of the Bank.
Requirements
You will ensure the use of a required process and procedures for evaluating credit proposals, including the accurate determination of Borrower's Risk Rating and ensuring that all approved credits are within QNB's Credit Risk Strategy. You will supervise the assessment of the credit proposals by analysis of the various credit risk facets to measure a final credit risk rating. This thorough check includes an assessment of the requested facility and security and collateral provided, client's business background and history, management, industry analysis, country analysis, external credit rating, financial statements and cash flow analysisYou will have a minimum of 15 years experience in a major international bank in a corporate or risk function. You will demonstrate financial analysis and modelling, credit assessment, financial packaging, structuring of credit facilities in addition to a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity in a corporate risk approval function.
