With more than 750 cafes, stores and restaurants the Alshaya Food division offers a range of roles for different hospitality backgrounds. Brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks, P.F. Changs, Pizza Express and Shake Shack provide everything from quick service and casual up to fine dining. We launched 8 new brands across 2012 and 2013 and have more planned for 2014.

The Role:

With the development of the Alshaya Food Supply Chain, this newly created role will see you leading the introduction of new in country solutions and improving controls over existing country supply chain solutions. You will lead on all aspects of the supply chain planning function, focusing on implementing core and bespoke stock management systems that create processes for effective and accurate forecasting and replenishment to store.

To accomplish these objectives you will;

* Lead, coach, develop and mentor a dispersed team of country supply chain managers ensuring capability is in place ahead of business expansion
* Visit and inspect distributor solutions in each market to ensure that Alshaya interests are fully protected. Identify risks or performance gaps and create and execute the improvement plans necessary
* Regularly assess the suitability of existing local suppliers and distributors and recommend changes as appropriate to improve service/reduce costs.
* Co-ordinate and execute any plan which changes the distributor used locally
* Ensure local supply contingency exists t support the lead supply route established by central procurement team
* Drive efficiencies at all inventory holding levels, monitor and performance-manage the divisional supply chain metrics, develop stock flow budgets and budgeting ethics
* Be the eyes and ears of Alshaya supply chain on the ground by regularly visiting all markets

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have in dept knowledge and experience with Asian, American, European and MENA food supply chain markets and an operational background in food services, restaurants or food production.Your ability to successfully manage 3PL providers together with your strong influencing and negotiation skills will enable you to effectively negotiate vendor contracts and ensure quality, cost and supply of food products within the Alshaya supply chain. Multi site/multi regional experience, large SKU count performance, together with the ability to manage large technical teams are essential to this role.
