The Role


The Role


Accountable for:
The Head of Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the regulatory reporting, updating the regulatory compliance checklists, advising the branches and subsidiaries regarding regulatory reporting issues associated with the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE).

Key Roles:
- Prepare periodic CBK and KSE returns and reports.
- Perform quality assurance of underlying data on the basis of which CBK and KSE returns and reports are prepared (to ensure integrity with the Bank’s data).
- Assist the CFO in embedding the information requirements for regulatory reporting in the relevant departments.
- Perform high level checks on the accuracy of information received form other departments.
- Update CBK/KSE regulatory compliance checklists so far as it relates to regulatory reporting.
- Advise and where required provide clarifications to the branches/subsidiaries regarding all issues associated with regulatory reporting.
- Contact point for providing all clarifications to the CBK.
- Act as a backup for the preparation of all Management & Business Unit Reports.
- Other duties as assigned form time to time.

Job Requirements

Education:
Graduate degree with major in Accounting/Finance from a recognized University. Recognized professional certificate preferred.

Experience:
10 years experience in finance & accounting in a international investment bank of which 4 years in a similar position.

Competencies:
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Comprehensive knowledge of CBK and KSE regulations relating to regulatory/external reporting.
- Good understanding of the Bank’s products, services and the associated accounting.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Solid knowledge of local regulations.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good PC skills
