An exciting new opportunity has arisen with a retail group in Dubai to join as a Head of Retail and lead the growth of the business in the coming years through both expansions of the current brands as well as through acquisition of new brands.

This position will be a very hands on role which will require you to be involved in all aspects of the retail operations as well as setting a structure for growth and subsequently hiring a management team in the future as the business grows.

Duties will include:
• Assist the General Manager in formulating the three year strategic business plan.
• Assist in identifying potential new locations and maintain up to date reports on the local retail real estate property.
• Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining SOP’s and respective schedule for logistics and incoming merchandise.
• Conduct on an ongoing basis and maintain up to date reports on the development of fashion and local competition.
• In conjunction with the MIS department develop and implement a Client Profiling system and a Customer Loyalty Program / KPI management reports.
• Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining SOP’s and respective schedule for logistics and incoming merchandise.
• Work directly with store managers to optimize the merchandising and brand mix on the showroom level to promote stronger sell through and an overall dynamic store environment.
• Prepare seasonal buying budgets.
• Recruit and retain competent motivated sales team.
• Merchandising and sales techniques training in line with principle requirements and market dynamics.
• Create and utilize a performance measuring tool for overall staff performance.
• Identify and nurture top performing staff in conjunction with the General Manager.
• Manage the sale incentive program and evaluate shop managers’ performance quarterly.
• Ensure that the overall brand image and store standard is in line with merchandising and operational guidelines provided by the principle.
• Develop, implement and maintain an effective social media campaigns (Facebook, twitter, linked in etc.) with the objective to increase brand awareness, store traffic, transactional value and total sales.
• Create standardized and simplified frequent management reports for information and analysis.
• Maintain a consistent and up to date competition report.
• Develop, implement and manage an inventory product report to assist in more effective inventory management and more focused seasonal ordering.

Requirements

Please only apply if you satisfy all of the below criteria:
• You must have at least 10+ years’ experience within retail.
• You must have experience in fashion.
• You must be currently working in the UAE / Middle East region as a Head of Retail or GM Retail or equivalent.
• You need to be ready for a very hands on position and have the ability to put in structures and guide business growth.
• Experience within the overseas markets such as the UK would be an advantage.
