Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

To lead, direct and manage the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Banking function in order to achieve the revenue, profit and cost targets agreed in the annual budget and achieve a balanced growth of the business

To acquire, develop, and manage the relationship with SME customers in Qatar and to manage an industry/sector focused team of Relationship Managers and Senior Credit Analysts to ensure that the team meets its financial and qualitative budget targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the SME banking function by effectively setting and achieving targets in line with corporate planning and budgeting guidelines.

Achieve SME Banking objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and the overall performance.

Direct and manage relationships with SME banking customers in Qatar through systematic planning and ensure that the team of Relationship Managers and Senior Credit Analysts are regularly identifying their needs in order to generate sales across the bank-wide product suite.

Ensure that required support and guidance is provided to the subordinates’ In-charge and Relationship Managers team in all marketing efforts and customer visits and also monitor performance to ensure that the managed team achieves set targets.

Undertake the necessary actions in order to maximize product penetration and cross selling for small and medium enterprises.

Provide guidance and inputs as necessary to ensure that high credit quality is maintained at all times within the Corporate Banking credit portfolio

Manage financial and key performance indicators, and take corrective actions when necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline

Extensive experience in the corporate banking sector, including at least 5 years in positions of Relationship Manager in SME division/unit.

Key Skills:

Experienced in managing people/ teams with strong capabilities to establish higher level of relationships with the high network individuals.

The candidates have to be from banking industry with experience in SME segment.

Strong Leadership & Team Building skills

Strong Selling & Negotiation Skills

Good planning, organization, Interpersonal and communication skills.
