The RoleThe RoleLeading Chilled & Frozen Food distributor Salary package circa up to US$ 110,000 +family tickets + family medical Based in Kuwait Our client is a leading importer and distributor of frozen and chilled food products with a wide customer base in Kuwait and Iraq. They are currently seeking to recruit a Head of Supply Chain with experience from a Food/ FMCG distributor in the Middle East. The role is based in Kuwait The successful candidate will lead Supply Chain improvements to facilitate sales growth whilst controlling inventories & logistics costs. In order to be considered, previous experience in Commodity Buying is essential. Responsibilities: Responsible for overall performance of supply chain function (including planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and customer services) within the business unit. Based on Sales Forecasts, plan total inventories, production, finished goods, warehousing and transit inventories to ensure optimization and efficiencies in working capital deployed. Coordinate forecast via inputs from commercial, marketing and finance. Maintain sufficient safety stocks to offset variances in sales forecasts. Review stock aging of saleable and non-saleable inventories; implement action plans for resolution with commercial and marketing division. Control freight costs for inbound and outbound flows. Be responsible for building sophistication in the demand forecasting process with the objective of accuracy between forecast and actual sales. Ensure optimal route planning and the productivity of the trucks and manpower. |
RequirementsRequirements Minimum 6 years in a Supply Chain role at a managerial level within the Food/ FMCG industry Strong demand planning & forecasting experience in Food / FMCG Previous experience in commodity buying within the food industry University degree in Supply Chain / Logistics or an equivalent qualification Very good people management skills Self-starter Very good English communication and presentation skills |
