Job description / Role
An established Manufacturing organisation is seeking a Head of Supply Chain to effectively manage the entire supply chain process from demand planning to delivery. Successful candidates must have excellent Lean Manufacturing awareness and have a demonstrable track record in its implementation preferably coming from a flexible packaging / plastics background.
Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of the Supply Chain function
Collaborating with Sales to establish effective methods of demand forecasting.
Ensure all planning is in line with capabilities of production and logistics.
Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles across all sites.
Developing & monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and business dashboards with On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance as a primary metric.
Work as part of the senior management team on ensuring delivery of upgrades and organizational improvements to ensure delivery of the Strategic Objectives
Lead all necessary technological upgrades and developments and product innovation.
Managing the inventory planning organization, reviewing inventory levels and ensuring periodic inventory optimization based on business forecast and goals (including reducing any slow moving & obsolete inventory).
Requirements
Specific Plastics/Flexible Packaging/ operations and supply chain management experience
Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and principles of Lean Management
Minimum of 12 - 15 years manufacturing experience
Technical Engineering experience
Excellent Leadership skills.
Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
Strong Business Acumen
Excellent Lean manufacturing awareness
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business objectives across multiple functions.
