Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose
- The Manager Support - International Offices in the International Banking is responsible for coordinating with the International Operations in Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Mumbai (branches) and other new locations including the setting up of new branches and offices in the international locations.
- Compilation of the business performance of the overseas branches and offices and submit the reports.
- Setting up of overseas branches and offices as per the directions of the Board and top management by arranging the business plan and submitting the required applications to QCB and the Overseas regulators.

Main Duties
- Arranges for the Business Plan and other required documents for all the new overseas operations to be established by the bank in different international locations and follow up on every step in the process.
- Performs environmental scanning activities for information as to the economic data relevant to the bank's business on countries where the bank plans new overseas branches and offices.
- Arranges the Business Plan for the new overseas branches and complies the management presentations to Board, prepares the Board notes as required.
- Review the regulatory requirements of the overseas branches and offices and arrange to provide the same in liaison with various HO Departments / functions.
- Review of the various Audit / Inspection Reports viz. External Audit Reports, Internal Audit Reports, Overseas Regulatory Inspection Reports, etc.
- Follow-up for rectification and resolution of the irregularities pointed out in the various Inspection and Audit Reports.
- Arranging for HO Comments on various audit and Inspection reports in respect of the overseas branches within the stipulated deadlines.
- Review of the regulatory correspondences between the overseas branches and the various regulators.
- Review of expenses incurred by the overseas Rep. Offices and monitor the same for its proper control and submit the monthly reports to Accounts department with due approval.
- Constantly monitor for the cost reduction areas to achieve cost reduction as proposed in each of these areas in the Rep. Offices.
- Liaise and follow up with the overseas branches and HO depts. for the rectification of the long outstanding entries, if any, in the inter office reconciliation.
- Follow up with the overseas branches for the actions required based on the regulatory guidelines or circulars.
- Follow up for any actions which are required as directed by the Board for its resolution.
- Liaise and co-ordinate in the budget process and finalisation for all the overseas operations
- Ensure all the necessary administrative support to the overseas branches and Rep. Offices.
- Review the various monthly reports submitted by the overseas branches for HO Managers meeting.

Salary range : QR. 30,000/- p.m. QR. 35,000/- p.m.

Requirements

- University degree in Business / Banking / Finance
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Banking, 2 years covering exposure to regulatory environment, compliance review and follow-up of audit reports, correspondent banking, credit reviews, etc.
- High level of English communication skills. Arabic an advantage.
