Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Leading bank with aggressive growth plans and a background of success, is looking to hire a mature Trade Finance Operations expert to lead this division. Candidate must be a fluent Arabic & English speaker.

Responsible for Trade Finance services operations front and back office operations, maintaining efficient processes while ensuring adherence of statutory guidelines i.e. Compliance, AML, ICC Publications and any other regulatory requirements in addition to Credit Risk Policy. Responsible for having SLA with Business Units and monitoring adherence /enhancement of SLA in the processes and constantly reviewing service quality and improving the quality for customer service . Advisory to staff and Business Units .Manage and develop Trade Service staff, monitoring their performance providing remedial training where necessary. Support Implementing new products.

- To ensure efficient front & back office operations on all processes within Trade Finance operations to cater business requirements for all trade finance related products
- Provide operational support on Group level whenever required
- To provide advisory /clarification as and when required by the trade operations team, Business units and customers
- To ensure mitigation for operational risk keys by setting directions, process flow and checklist documents
- Improve operational efficiency on all the processes and that the department maintains required operational standards by adhering AML and other statutory regulations ,guidelines and procedures
- Monitor staff productivity and ensure motivation for enhancing their performance providing them the regular timely feedback ensuring that their training requirements are attended
- Provide internal training or identifying external training requirements to enhance skills and knowledge for the staff with updated ICC publications
- Maintain SLA with all the business units and ensure that the service standards are regularly maintained
- Ensure customer complaints are attended and optimally satisfactory solution for issue resolving takes place ,and customer complaint are reduced by adopting the required process changes suitable to the organization
- Approving transactions as per DOA
- Interact with customers sharing knowledge & provide training whenever required
- Support Business units & FI products for new trade finance products or structured trade finance products

Requirements

- Graduate with Bachelors Degree in related field i.e. Business Administration, Economics, Finance etc / CDCS
- 14+ years of experience in Trade Finance/Operations Environment.

Technical Skills:
- Solid Knowledge on all ICC Rules UCP,URC,URDG,ISP,ISBP,URR latest updates
- Full & solid awareness for trade finance banking products and implementation, policies and operational procedures.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory guidelines and requirements.
- Knowledge of operational risks related to trade finance activities
