Head of Training & OD

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client, a Semi Government owned Shipyard in Qatar and one of the largest in the Middle East, we are recruiting an experienced Head of Training & OD in Qatar.

The position reports to the HR Manager and will oversee the Admin and Camp Management team.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assisting the HR Manager for the formulation of HR policies and procedures.
- To play active role in the disciplinary procedures as well as grievance redress initiatives.
- Act as advisory to the camp management and effectively coordinate the camp activities and ensure employee welfare at camp.
- Coordinate various Training and Development activities after assessing the training need and organizational requirement.
- Analyze the Manpower requisitions and prepare the Job descriptions in coordination with the operations.
- Conduct Job evaluations and contribute to Comp & Ben Management in close association with the HR manager.

Requirements

- Unfortunately for this position the company cannot employ an Indian National.
- Educated to Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management
- HR generalist with OD exposure.
- Should possess 5-6 years of relevant experience in medium size to large business enterprises.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Tactful and articulate
- Strong leadership skills
- Analytical and methodical in your approach to problems
- Motivated and results driven
- Ability to act quickly and decisively
- Have good IT skills
- Excellent organizational skills

- Documentation skills
