Employment: Full Time

We currently seek a professional to take on a senior management position as the Head of Transport & Infrastructure Supervision. By joining WSP you will be exposed to the full breadth of our Middle East business, helping to deliver the same high standard of comprehensive and integrated infrastructure design and supervision services that have seen WSP become the UAEs leading interdisciplinary engineering design practice.

The Head of Transportation & Infrastructure Supervision is accountable for the strategic leadership, direction, operational performance and people leadership within the business unit. You will be a key player on the Middle East Senior Management Team in driving the development and performance of the business.

Your focus in this position is split between, but not limited to, four key areas across the Middle East region;

Business Leadership
- Leading, managing, motivating and supporting the Transportation & Infrastructure Supervision team
- Ensuring that Health, Safety, Quality, Sustainability and Technology are embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
- Setting financial budgets and forecasts; successfully delivering positive operational and financial outcomes
- Leading by example and reinforcing the positive culture of WSP when collaborating with colleagues

Business Development
- Proactively supporting business development activities through participation in external market profile raising activities and functions
- Pursuing opportunities and leading the bidding process to secure new prospects
- Developing external and internal client relationships, advocating the merit of WSP services and brand, and co-selling WSP services beyond your own area of responsibility

Project Leadership
- Fulfilling the role of Project Director on selected projects by leading and managing the successful delivery of high-quality multi/ single-disciplinary projects
- Ensuring proactive project planning and delivery, including interfacing and collaborating with stakeholders
- Supporting the team to identify, assess and manage project risks and secure optimal commercial return

Technical
- Keep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline, other disciplines and engineering innovations and developments on a global scale
- Drive innovation and utilise technological advancement

Requirements

- BEng / BSc (Hon) or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 15 years post graduate experience
- Member of appropriate professional body
- C.Eng preferred, although not essential
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering team and projects
- Experience of MS Office suite of programmes
- Experience in applicable discipline and project software tools
