The RoleThe RoleHealth & Hygiene Specialist required - Qatar WRS are pleased to be assisting with the search for a Health & Hygiene Specialist for a Joint Venture of 2 leading names in the Oil & Gas industry for their high profile Production Plant in Qatar. We are looking for candidates with the following Qualifications and attributes: Minimum Qualification: - BSN from an accredited School of Nursing. - Current RN Licensure in country of origin, BLS Certification - Post Graduate qualification in Occupational Health Nursing - CPR Training; ILS/BLS (Basic Life Support) Minimum Experience: - 5 years recent experience as an RN; - Previous Management/Supervisory experience - Must have at least 4 years as an Occupational Health practitioner in an industrial plant environment If successful in securing the role your day to day duties will include : - Department Strategy Formulation - As a senior member of the HSE department team you will contribute to the formulation and implementation of the HSE department strategy and plans as appropriate the department needs and objectives. - Health and Hygiene Department Management - Supervise the day-to-day operations of the assigned organizational unit, ensures that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures, employees are motivated, understand what is expected of them and perform according to the designated standards. - Policy, Procedures and Standards - Develop and ensure implementation of company policies, procedures and standards related to Health and Hygiene issues. - Ensure that company health and hygiene policies and procedures are in alignment with industry standards & policies and are compliant with all regulatory and statutory requirements governing this functional area. - Emergency Medical Aid - Manage emergency medical response process ensuring ample coverage is available to provide rapid assistance to patient. - Facilitate medical transfers from site, ambulance services and emergency evacuations as needed in order to ensure necessary treatment is provided. - Assist and support employees during treatment or hospitalisation ensuring proper treatment is administered along with necessary care and support of the company.
