Health & Safety Manager – Retail

A leading Middle East food retail group is looking for an Health & Safety Manager to look after stores across the Middle East and North Africa region based out of its Kuwait Head Office.

Our client is a leader in the food retail industry in the Middle East owning and operating some of the most recognisable brands in the world. With quick service, casual and premium restaurants throughout the Middle East you are never far away from one of their outlets. The business has an excellent reputation with the highest levels of service and quality.

The purpose of this role is to increase the focus on health and safety compliance across all brands within the business. Through regular field visits, auditing, risk assessments, gap analysis and training sessions the Health and Safety Manager will increase the brands awareness of this vital aspect of their operations. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Ensuring Health and Safety compliance in all food service locations
Conducting risk assessments and developing SOP’s
Training and education of team members
Loss prevention and internal audit
Monitor and report accident and incident statistics
Review fire security arrangements

Requirements

Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance but working autonomously this role would suit someone who can work collaboratively and can be tough and influential when needed. You will be working with team members in stores and also senior members of the brands so an ability to communicate across all seniority levels is important. A qualification in NEBOSH or equivalent is highly desirable for this role.
