Job description / Role
Bahrain Airport Company are looking for a consummate Health, Safety & Quality Manager to join the Infrastructure Development & Maintenance Team. The responsibilities of this role will include; Preparation of Health & Safety strategies and developing internal policy, carrying out risk assessments and implementing risk reduction as well as keeping records of all accidents for production of statistics. The successful candidate should demonstrate an in depth knowledge of Quality Management as well as leading the in-house training with managers and employees; in relation to Health & Safety issues and risks. He / She will be responsible for outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account all relevant hazards. An in depth and up to date knowledge of the Health & Safety Executive Legislation or (HSE) is essential. He / She should be able to produce management reports, ensure safe installation of equipment and ensure safe operation of equipment. Moreover be able to advise on a range of specialist areas including; Fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, confined spaces and occupational disease.
Requirements
The candidate must have a Degree in Health & Safety, Science or Engineering. He / She should also have Quality Management experience and at least 4-5 years of experience in Airport Health & Safety Procedures. A detailed knowledge of risk management concepts is essential, whilst familiarization of Computerized Management System (CMMS) is desirable.
