Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading semi-government entity is seeking to hire an Arabic-speaking Health and Safety Manager.

The HSE Manager will be in charge of the overall management and technical leadership of the Health Safety and Environmental Management System of their high-scale plant. The position reports to the Plant Manager and must be comfortable being located at the facility.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with safety, health and environmental guidelines for operational activities.
- Responsible for managing all elements of the HSE function, including annual operating plan, HSE management systems deployment, audits, best practices exchange, corrective action closures, internal/external reporting, etc.
- Develop, issue and implement site specific safety, health, and security policies and procedures.
- Ensure HSE training is successfully delivered to employees required to undergo it.
- Drive increased awareness of HSE processes and practices to management, operations and administration departments.
- Work to improve HSE knowledge and understanding of business partners through various measures, including working in cross-functional teams.
- Provide specialist consulting in all aspects of HSE Risk Assessments.
- Maintain knowledge of norms and standards, follow modifications and propose relevant updates of plant procedures.
- Lead internal HSE assessments and manage corrective action plans to drive timely closure of open action items.

Requirements

- Bachelor's of Engineering or Health, Safety, Environmental Services degree from a recognized university
- 4 to 5 years PQE managing oil & gas or process plant
- Successful experience in leading an HSE team
- Strong communication skills and fluent English and Arabic
- Deep sense of urgency, priority management and multi-tasking of projects and adhoc tasks
- IT Savvy
