Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Parsons Brinckerhoff are currently involved in a major roads and drainage project in Doha. Due to construction starting on the project we are looking to recruit a Site Based Health and Safety Manager. The role will be to look after all Health and Safety issues on the construction site.

• Be familiar with the requirements of local legislation, international best practice and standards and ensure they are complied with
• Manage all the HSE issues on the construction site
• Generate an awareness of HSE on the construction site with the contractors
• Assist in recognizing HSE training needs and advise line management accordingly
• Advice Construction Managers on areas of weakness and the remedial measures required to enable improvement
• Ensure that company HSE procedures are complied with and implemented
• Assist with relevant training that needs to be implemented on the construction site

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years site based Health and Safety experience
• Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering/construction discipline
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
• Previous experience working on roads and infrastructure experience will be beneficial

Experienced professional who can lead meetings and produce reports
