The RoleThe Role• Receive TT’s from Network Surveillance and act towards rectification of the faults (HW/SW) related to NGN network elements including: Softswitch, TGW, AGW, SGW, SBC, etc. • Conduct detailed analysis, correlation & troubleshooting for all received TT • Identify the root cause and provide the solution for trouble tickets including ensuring minimum downtime for all outages • Coordinate with MC / DDC for all port, card, equipment and media related faults. • Conduct deep analysis of Routing, ,Migration ,Billing , New Services problems • Ensure all alarms to be cleared after any planned or unplanned activity. • Update the actions taken towards rectification of fault in TT. • Refer the TT to Fault Management Network Tier – 2(FTAC and Vendor) for next level technical support (if required) with the justification updated in TT. • Clear the TT after ensuring the rectification of the fault and update the Solution Code. • Carry out the MDT/TC assigned by Network Surveillance team. • After completion of MDT, verify the changes implemented as per the action plan. • Perform periodic Software Updates & Patches, Periodic System Backups, Seasonal & Special Events preparations, New features Deployments/Testing |
RequirementsRequirements• 4 year college degree in engineering or IT • Minimum 3 years experience in Network Operations fault analysis and isolation, with either a contractor or an operator. • Experience should include troubleshooting of network failures, determining source and cause of failures and recommending course of action to remedy the fault or to escalate to higher level of engineering. • Experience in the NGN equipment: Softswitch, TGW, AGW, SGW, SBC, etc. • Experience in MPLS basic interface and NGN service confirmation • Specific experience in Huawei NGN telecom equipment • Strong command of PC software packages. • Strong command of the English language, Arabic language knowledge will be considered as an advantage • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (team work, knowledge sharing, commitments) • Strong organizational and time management skills • Able to work under high pressure |
