Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Provide Human Resources Management expertise for the agreed development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company as required to ensure an excellent service is provided;
• Assist in the development of the strategic plan for all operational activities with the HR Director;
• Implement and monitor the annual and medium term HR planning, program and projects to meet overall objectives and agreed timings;
• Establish clear organizational structures and workflow for the Operations;
• Manage, coach and mentor the Country HR practitioners to ensure consistency across the Asia Pac regions, including responsibilities and accountabilities of individuals.
• Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Country HR through improvements to each function
• Drive initiatives in the management team and within the organization that contributes to long-term operational excellence
• Assist in the HR Director in designing, developing and implementing Talent Management initiatives
• Manage and monitor the employee lifecycle process from mobilization, onboarding, probationary periods, performance management, employee relations, comp & bens, through to the leaver’s process
• Ensure that the Policies and Procedures are fully understood and adhered to by all employees and provide counseling and advice to all employees in line with company and HR policies and procedures
• Resolve staff grievances & disciplinary issues and provide guidance to line managers for efficient & satisfactory resolution in line with HR procedures.
• Provide the management team with HR intelligence and MIS in order to make informed decisions regarding the workforce.
• Participate and contribute to HR projects as per any project plan.
• Be involved in employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
• Accredited professional with CIPD, SHR is preferred
• Post Graduate education such as a MSc, MA or MBA
• Must have proven experience of working as a HR Generalist, ideally within the Construction Industry.
• 10+ or more years’ of International experience, within Multinational companies.
• Must be prepared to travel when required which would include to and within a hardship location.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal amount of specific direction and guidance.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• A self-starting, effective problem solver and influencer.
• Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work related issues in line with Corporate and International HR agenda
• Strong management ability and skills in developing employees and organisations
• Demonstrates a determination, desire to succeed and a wish to progress and develop within a commercial role.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
• Knowledge of local Labour Laws, and immigration and mobilisation regulations
• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
• Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
• Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and strong user skill level within MS Office or Primavera
• Excellent numerical and literary skills in English
