The Role


The Role


Our client, Dubai's premier private business club provider, are seeking an experienced and self-motivated HR Manager.

Responsibilities:

Manage the clubs personnel program; assist in development/implementation of applicable policies and procedures; process various labour staffing reports; coordinate software applications to generate required information.
Develop/place recruitment ads; plan recruitment strategies; screen applicants and make hiring recommendations
Conducts/reviews wage and benefit surveys; propose employee benefits enhancements to the General Manager
Coordinate the development and publication of the employee newsletter.
Coordinate all employee record keeping functions
Continually review and assist in updating the employee handbook and personnel-related policies; assist in the management of the club’s progressive discipline program.
Manage the club’s group insurance and related benefits programs; communicate benefits information to staff.
Undertake special projects relating to job description/specification updates, performance appraisal improvements, wage/salary comparison surveys, long range staff planning, etc.
Keep current with ever-changing laws and regulations relating to employees; assures compliance with these laws and regulations.
Advise line managers about discipline/discharge and related matters.
Provide general property orientation for new employees; assist in the development/implementation of within-department orientation and training programs
Manage the club’s educational and referral programs for alcohol and substance abuse
Assist department heads in planning professional development and training programs for employees.
Develop forecasts of short and long term staffing needs
Coordinate transfer, promotion and layoff strategies within the club.
Create and maintains organizational charts
Benchmark the clubs’ employee recruitment and selection processes with others in the industry and explore new strategies as appropriate.
Develop and maintain a library of training resources specifically designed for each position
Establish employee motivation and retention programs
Organize employee activities such as the Holiday Party and other outings as appropriate
Organize employee recognition functions
Compile and adhere to departmental budget; take corrective actions as necessary to help assure that budget goals are met
oversee all work-related injury claims to ensure integrity, on-going case management and reporting compliance
Perform special projects as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements


Requirements


Interested candidates must have a minimum of three years experience in a similar role. You also must hold a Degree in Human Resources or a related field. You must also be located in Dubai or the UAE.
