The RoleThe RolePOSITION OBJECTIVES The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which includes recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling. The Human Resource Coordinator provides advice and assistance to managers and staff. This may include information on training needs and opportunities, job descriptions, performance reviews and personnel policies of the company. The position coordinates the staff recruitment process. The Human Resource Coordinator provides advice and support to managers and ensures that they have accurate and timely information in order to make effective decisions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide support to managers and staff to develop the skills and capabilities of staff. Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place Ensure company employee handbook outlining basic company policies, procedure and expected behaviors is up to date and implemented. Provide advice and assistance with writing job descriptions. Provide advice and assistance in the development and implementation of performance appraisal procedures and documentation. Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations. Identify training and development opportunities. Organize staff training sessions, workshops and activities. Process employee requests for outside training while complying with polices and procedures. Provide advice and assistance in the development and implementation of company performance management procedures. Provide basic counseling to staff who have performance related obstacles. Provide advice and assistance in developing human resource plans. Provide staff orientations. Access funding for training and write proposals. 2. Monitor staff performance, attendance, payroll and vital employee details. Monitor daily attendance. Continually review and update attendance systems across the company to ensure attendance is being recorded accurately. Manage company payroll process/procedures, compile relevant payroll reports for sign off and provide to accountants department for action in a timely manner. Ensure all employee entitlements, payments and payrolls, etc. are reflective of the companys policies and procedures and Qatari Law. Ensure the effective management of employee details, key documentation, and renewals (in conjunction with PROs) to ensure all company employees comply with policy and procedure and Qatari law at all time and do not place the company at risk e.g. residence and passport renewal. Investigate and understand causes for staff absences compile and present associated monthly reports. Recommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties. Provide basic counseling to staff who have performance related obstacles. Provide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions. Monitor scheduled absences such as holidays or travel and coordinate actions to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of services. 3. Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process and the smooth exit of staff from employment Provide advice and assistance to managers on staff recruitment. Develop appropriate sourcing strategies to attract suitable applicants e.g. use of recruitment agencies, advertising for positions etc. Short list candidates and implement suitable interview processes e.g. face to face, phone or travel to country of origin. Participate in applicant interviews. Conduct reference checks on possible candidates. Prepare, develop and implement procedures and policies on staff recruitment. Inform unsuccessful applicants. Coordinate with relevant company departments and Qatari authorities to ensure any employee leaving company employment receives all due entitlements as per contract/law and that all correct notifications and laws are abided by to ensure the company is not placed at risk. 4. Provide information and assistance to staff, managers and company on human resource and work related issues Develop and implement a human resources plan and personnel management policies and procedures. Promote workplace safety. Provide advice and assistance to staff and management on pay and benefits systems. Research and monitor human resource systems in other organizations within the community. 5. Perform other related duties as required. |
RequirementsRequirementsSkills and Experience The Human Resource Coordinator would normally attain the required knowledge, skills and abilities through completion of human resource development courses at secondary institutions e.g. colleges and universities and would have several years of experience. Problem solving skills. Basic counseling skills. Negotiations skills. Effective verbal and listening communications skills. Computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets and word processing programs at a highly proficient level. Effective written communications skills including the ability to prepare reports, proposals, policies and procedures Research and program development skills. Interviewing skills. Time management skills. Knowledge An understanding of relevant Qatari legislation, policies and procedures. Human resources management procedures. Position descriptions.
