The RoleThe RoleAl-Futtaim Logistics is a leading Supply Chain Management company in Dubai, UAE, with our major shareholder being one of the largest business houses in the lower Gulf region. Al-Futtaim logistics, started as a small warehouse for Al-Futtaim products about 25 years ago, and has developed over the years into one of the largest logistics service providers in the UAE. We have nearly 500 people on our diverse team from 20 different countries. We offer superior pan-Arab supply chain management solutions including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding as well as IT solutions and Supply Chain Design and Consulting. The company has an international network of offices and agents for overseas freight and warehousing and distribution centres in all major UAE cities and ports. The job holder will be primarily responsible for providing support to the HR Business Partner working at operational level, providing a proactive Human Resource service to Logistics employees (circa 450 employees) working with the Human Resources Shared Services Group, Al Futtaim Logistics' Line Managers and Third Party providers. Job Purpose: Advising offline community of employees within Logistics on any Human Resource queries relating to processes and procedures, referring employees to the relevant source of support e.g. Group Administration, the HR Business Partner etc. Key Responsibilities: • Payroll: Collating, checking and entering information for inclusion into the monthly payroll in respect to additional payments and deductions, overtime and leave • Training and Development: Arranging training via Al Futtaim Training Centre, through external training consultants or coordinating with line managers in setting up in-house training • Obtaining employee feedback on completion of training • Recording and monitoring training records, cost and man-days • Providing monthly training summary to line managers • Supporting line managers and group recruitment in interviews and assessment activities • Coordinating the local induction process for new employees within the group • Organising the employee recognition scheme on a monthly basis, along with other activities such as long service awards, employee events etc • Casual labour coordination - liaising with our 3rd Party providers in relation to the supply of casual labour • Supporting HRBP / line managers in attending meetings with employees where HR representation is required • Conducting exit interviews for all employees in grade 1-12 and providing feedback to HRBP • Maintaining register of employees residing in employee accommodation and requests for transfers between company accommodation, escalating any queries or complaints to relevant personnel |
RequirementsRequirementsMinimum Qualifications and Knowledge: • Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant HR field • Previous experience of working within Human Resources in the UAE is prerequisite • Demonstrable experience of working within a large organisation with a diverse workforce • Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages • Excellent level of spoken and written English, mother tongue will be preferably Hindi / Urdu • A written and spoken understanding of Arabic would be beneficial • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and plan workload is essential Behavioural Competencies : • Strong planning and organisational skills • Ability to follow instructionsand procedures • Excellent presentation and communication skills • Results orientated, therefore able to meet customer expectations |
