AECOM Shared Services
We support our employees globally by coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of General Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, Marketing and Information Technology. Job Summary
Responsible for the management, implementation and maintenance of HR programs, policies and procedures in AECOM Qatar.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the Team in Managing & Delivering HR
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners' and HR team
- Be a trusted HR advisor and partner to the management team
- Provide the business with high quality advice / support in managing HR needs
- Develop strong relationships with management to gain an understanding and sound knowledge of the program
- Help managers to understand and proactively address HR issues. Investigate a variety of employee-related issues, incidents, complaints and inquiries
- Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly HR reports as required
- Support management in retention and succession planning
- Support employees and managers in understanding and adapting to change in the business / workplace environment
- Act as a conduit to communicate change when necessary
- Ensure compliance and legislative requirements are met to manage & mitigate potential HR risks to the business
- Exceptional Customer Service: meet the expectation of the program, and HR while working to improve service
- Support the realisation of the agreed AECOM Core Values and the development of a high performing team culture.
- Ensure HR best practices support the program in achieving objectives and are aligned with AECOM HR values and priorities
Provide Expertise / Advice / Counsel
- Advise and counsel staff & management on the interpretation and implications of HR related policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in all areas of HR, both internally and externally
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current HR programs, policies, systems. Recommend and develop alternatives or enhancements to create HR best practices in consultation with Corporate HR
- Apply knowledge of employment legislation and organization structures in support of the business
- Ensure staff are familiar with the safety, environmental and community policies and the code of conduct;
- Ensure staff are familiar with and follow project and company guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensure activities within defined responsibility comply with relevant legal acts, professional and ethical standards, plan positive anti-discrimination policies
Implement & Manage HR Programs
- Implementation, deliver, improve and manage a variety of HR programs, including: On boarding, employment equity, rewards and recognition, employee training, compensation programs, employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, off-boarding, conflict mediation and resolution etc.
- Manage job classification and evaluation through using defined Compensation Model
- Direct the administration of personnel files, systems, records, payroll, and compilation of management reports including HR metrics
- Support the performance management process including performance appraisals, salary adjustments, discipline, and career development
- Support and / or participate in action planning to address employee survey results
- Support the promotion, attraction and retention of a qualified and diversified workforce
- Ensure HR programs support and are aligned with both the program needs, AECOM values and priorities as well as AECOM HR vision and goals
- Liaise with the Global Mobility Manager as required for International Assignees
- Assist with AECOM HR initiatives & Special Projects as required
Manage and Develop the Team
- Provide support, guidance, and help to develop the management team
- Transfer knowledge and provide guidance to leadership as appropriate to support business objectives
- Ensure ongoing communication with the management on status / progress of HR related projects, issues, points of interest and initiatives
- Monitor HR focused feedback, track and share successes, failures, and lessons learned as appropriate
- Create and foster a cohesive team and promote a positive work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration
- Provide leadership and mentoring to HR Team
Qualification
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or a related discipline.

Person Specification (Personality Attributes)

Requirements

Qualified to at least Degree level in Human Resources from an internationally recognised institution. Ideally CIPD qualified.

Minimum of ten years relevant experience with at least two of these years in the Middle East in a similar role.

Experience

8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in the HR field preferably with in the Middle East.
