Employment: Full Time

The HR Manager holds a pivotal position within the management team and this is a generalist function that covers all aspects of HR, touching operational and strategic issues. Supporting the Managing Director, this role has the key objective of strategizing, planning, directing and managing the HR function.

The HR Manager plays an integral and pro-active role in the success of the company by taking a hands-on operational and strategic role; providing advice and support to the business and working towards implementing policies and procedures that are in line with corporate best practices. This is a leadership role in shaping the corporate culture of the local team and seamlessly combines the open and direct approach of the parent company with the relationship-driven regional culture.

Key responsibilities include managing payroll and benefits, personnel administration, recruitment, employee branding, training, talent management and succession planning. Additionally, you will incorporate best practice, ensuring that contributions are measured, recognized and rewarded and implementing a robust performance management system.

Also ensuring that manpower planning and recruitment is in line with business needs and goals, is cost effective and initiatives are launched to implement cost effectiveness and ease of recruitment.

There will also be design and develop succession planning for a seamless transition of the companys leadership from generation to generation and proactively ensure development of second line leaders and empowerment and transparency in operations. Change management is also key and the ability to lead clearly and effectively is key as new policies and procedures are implemented in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

Additional activities include overseeing the HSE policies in conjunction with the QWA Manager, putting the HSE-policies into practice within the business departments (office and on site), participating in ad hoc project activities and updating functional job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
